I play Spider Solitaire to relax and wind down - quite a lot!

Now it's lost its sound, and it's just not the same without the sound effects!

No, I've tried that - the sound effects ARE turned on, and I've tried turning them on and off again.

Sound is ok for other stuff, just this...? Have I worn it out?

Edit - correction, some of the sound effects don't work - curiouser and curiouser!

If it only happens for spider solitaire, i'd suggest reinstalling it.

I find the sound rather irritating - better without it.

Perhaps it's a girlie thing?

Try messing with WMP

#8 Post by flatlander » Fri Jun 24, 2011 11:23 am

I would suggest you to first try playing some music from windows media player to check if all your sound settings are set correctly and then try playing sound from spider solitaire.
It may be that you need to update WMP can't recall if you said you had XP but sometimes helps after upgrades to OS and at elast downloads newer Codecs (info for sound files)
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Perhaps it is! I like the beeps of electronic games too, and fireworks that go 'wheeeeeee' !

And I'm pleased to know I'm not the only one who plays it!

Strangely the problem seems to have gone away. :smt017
