Browser choices?

#1 Post by MartDude » Sat Dec 18, 2010 3:33 pm

I'm currently using IE 8, & it's pissing me off, 'cos it keeps crashing.

Just done a search on here re Chrome & Firefox, and haven't come across any recent comments on them; just wondered how they compare now to IE?

Thanks in advance

Try Opera Browser. ( www.opera.com ). I've been using it for years and have noticed a lot of what they started has migrated into other browsers and has become pretty standard now. Things like 'hotclick' mouse actions, tab browsing and thumbnail site choice menu.

Try it.. You'll be pleasantly surprised. :smt001

I've never tried anything except Firefox but it's incredibly better then IE!

Firefox is good, Opera is good, Chrome from Google is good..

Whatever you do, do not download the Beta test for IE9. It's absolutely wank at the moment. I ran it for 2 days then had to remove it, it was that bad a Beta. Shouldnt have been released to Beta in that state. Crashing? It crashed every time I opened it, for some reason or other. I spent more time sending error reports back to Microshite than I did web browsing.

Another vote for Fireferret here. Haven't used anything else in 4 or 5 years.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I use Chrome mostly, or sometimes FF, both are better than Internet Exploder.

Keep meaning to try Opera, I might just give it a proper go this time around.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
