Mine has always been restricted with BT.. and I too pay for unlimited! I had a lesser service which I upgraded and somehow it didnt lift the block, so when i hit a certain level (wich isnt the terms of service unfair usage thing) it slows down. Told BT this, they checked couldnt find what needed tweaking, etc as well as all the problems ive had with them, so I chose to up sticks and migrate.
Im sure Talk Talk will be fine once I get on board, it's just the migration at a time when theyre pushing adverts on TV so everyone is trying to join them.
Still a bunch of cocks.

O2 is the way forward gent's. Ok, so ye have to have a separate BT phone line which does hike the price up, but it's worth it. I'm downloading torrents most of the time and never had a problem. Easily went over 30gb last month with not a word said.

Talk talk kept pushing their connection dateback, so i told them to ram it. Have told BT they are shit, however until i find a firm who actually deliver what they say they will, and who're available in my area, Im stuck with them or the option of no internet.

O2 told me in an e-mail that the best connection i'd get with my phone line would be 10mb with their 20mb package. So they're not lying. But for £10 a month, it can't be bad.. 8mb monthly charge is £7.50.

Nice Paddy.. Nice.. Could I ask what you're paying? It's not been rolled out over my way yet.. But I'm preparing myself for the inevitable..lol.

Not bad I guees, 8mb connection supposedly.
Get a slightly worse result using the wireless connection, down to 4.5mb. Still a vast improvement over the previuos results though!
Saw this pop up again, thought I'd have another go:
Bit better than last time, but way off the mark from Paddy! I may have to take a look at BT Infinity if it comes down this way!
