Not from Youtube, not the best out there, but it is free and does what it says on the tin.
Go to
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/youtube ... oader-237/ and click download..
You will be given a Zip file..
Unzip the package you've downloaded, and carefully read the instructions which you can find in the readme.txt file. This readme.txt file is included with all our downloads. Follow the instructions carefully to install and activate the software.
When you unzip the zip file, you will be given 3 files. Activate. Set up and read me.
Read the readme file and run the SET UP file.
when the programme opens go to 'About' and register it with the code in the readme file
Have fun :)

Sounds entertaining, how do I work it when it's up and running? Open a Youtube thing, right click on it and hit save?

it's ended now
Basically go to youtube, with the programme open, highlight, copy and paste the URl for the video and the programme places it in the copy box of the programme, choose what to save it as and where, then save.. thats it really
I'll watch for it coming round again. It usually does
The trial version (not the giveawayoftheday version) will give you 5 downloads then costs you 29 dollars.
There are free ones out there though

Would it work with the WSBK site do you know? Trying to find a way to watch the racing on the big telly without paying even more money to any program providers.
(edit) doesn't seem willing to do anything with the Superbikes player, will try with some stuff already on the hard drive later and have a play with it.

Giving it a go, am a bit of a techno-numpty with computers though
(edit) Hmmmm, couldn't get that to work. Looks like the WSBK player is a flash thingy, so guess that's why I can't play with it?

if you can get the raw file data... like
(flash files are flv) then you should be able to capture it.
If you just get a popup id, like
Code: Select all
www.racingwebsite/videos/something=id213
then youre fekked.
