Got it on my daughters computer, however its not good enough for business (got 256 bit protection there)

Personally I wouldn't touch McAfee with a bargepole. It's marginally less bad than Norton, but that's about as good as it gets.

So what other free antivirus/security sort of thing is there that you would touch mango? Got any reccomends?

I'd recommend the Holy Trinity of AVG anti-virus, with regular usage of Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy. All have free versions and all seem to do what they say on the tin. There's always a bit of an overlap between viruses, adware and spybots, so I'd tend to go for a specialist 'killer' for each type of malware.

I'd also recommend a firewall like Zone Alarm, even if you already have a hardware firewall on your Broadband Router, and don't just rely on the built-in Windows firewall. It only registers incoming threats, not those that are already present on your machine and are trying to gain access to t'Internet.

I do not use a firewall bar windoze one, but i do know how to set my router one up.... so I am lucky :)
