Can't get sound on You Tube videos

#1 Post by MartDude » Sun Mar 02, 2014 2:01 pm

I can't get any sound when playing You Tube videos.

This started a few days ago.

Sound is fine from other sources, e.g. games, media sites, FB videos.

PC, running Vista. Haven't, AFAIK, changed any settings.

Ideas & suggestions gratefully welcomed.

Or have you accidentally muted it? Got sound from other stuff or not?

How very odd. It's started working again. Didn't change anything.

The PC did something similarly odd, then righted itself a couple of days later, the other week. Drop-down boxes suddenly wouldn't work, but then they did.

Can PCs have poltergeists?

Sometimes things get temporarily changed and a re-start generally fixes it - I assumed you would have tried that!

I remember when I lost the sound on games for a while but that came back too.
