Something I seem to have found a better fix for (Android)

My phone, an old galaxy note n7000, was being a nuisance... Kept crashing etc, rooted it and loaded with cyanogenmod which was ok but kept dropping signal, especially half way through YouTube videos!!!! Arrrrgggg. Reloaded with cna black resurrection, better as far as stability goes but internet speed was slow. Found slimbean and loaded that, everything is running perfect now. No problems at all and is very customisable. They are also working on the kitkat version so once that hits stable then I'll install that. I'm actually really happy now. Through Samsung I had installed the last update they were releasing for this handset. So I fixed a problem and it looks like most new androids.
Moral, install slimbean before cyanogenmod and cna black. Save yourself the time.
Please don't ask me technical stuff, I read xda forum, that's all I know.

Had an iPhone before, really didn't like it. Genuinely felt it was too restrictive.

Google have since sold Motorola to lenovo subject to regulatory approval, but I agree the moto G is a cracking little phone, bought one for the OH and she hasn't had any problems.
I've currently got an LG G2, though I can't remember the last time I ran a stock ROM. If you do go custom, then get one built on AOSP, Android Open Source Project.
