#1 Post by John1000 » Mon Mar 05, 2007 8:58 pm

Ok just got my first blue-tooth phone and wondered if it is possible to link it to my pc.
What I would like to do if possible is link them both so that I could load client info onto my phone, just basic info like name address and phone number is this possible with a phone of am I asking to much.
I see in Argos they sell blue tooth adaptors do I need one of these for the pc? :smt012

Yes you do

Commonly known as a dongle. Although some phones do supply a data cable for data transfer and it's quicker and more stable

Just started to have a play and managed to sync my contact addresses from my phone to my pc. Its linked to outlook express but when I put in info on outlook all it transfers is basic info like phone numbers email address and name can I transfer the notes I made or is the software on the phone to basic?
Can you download a more detailed address book similar to the one on my pc to the phone that will accept the more detailed information . :smt017

I use an old Sharp GX30i it has blue tooth but I found it easier to use a card reader, just put the phone memory card into the reader and plug it into the PC job done.
