ftp software or via web browser?

and are you sure they have given you access to allow download....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

ok, check the ftp software first on another site - that will tell you if the software is working....

if it is, then check the connection settings - it may be that you are trying to login to the ftp server as anonymous and you need to log in as a set person

Has the site owner given you a username & password?

If not, then he'll need to do so before you can get the file. On the chance that you don't need a specific username, you can try the username of 'anonymous' (or 'ftp') and use your email address for the password.

What error messages are you getting from your FTP software?
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Yes I had the username and p/w. The person concerned has nowq dumped the file onto a dvd and posted it so I'm no longer trying to log on. But as far as I remember it, the error message was saying that my system couldnt connect to his sytem ie we never got past first base.
