Virus Scam Mon, Sep 10, 2007 Malware.AMCC, which claims to be VIRUSfighter, and uses graphics stolen from VIRUSfighter's Website, is literally popping-up on the Internet trying to capture your credit card information. The new Trojan comes as a pop-up window on your screen saying a virus had been found. The user is then directed to a Website to pay to remove the non-existent virus. VIRUSfighter says it was not hacked, and no confidential information, such as coding or data originating from VIRUSfighter has
been stolen. Just the graphics and text were copied from the VIRUSfighter Website, and now being used by scamsters.
