Aladinsane's Falco - work in progress

#1 Post by Aladinsaneuk » Wed Jul 11, 2007 1:17 pm

Finally decided to do some cleaning etc on the old Falco and took the opportunity to consider removing some decals - so here we go then

This is the front view, complete with double bubble screen and black fairing screws.

Now I am thinking that this would look a lot tidier:

thoughts on that please :)

side on -

and again once the lion's head has been removed - also note the Disaster Area Logo - am not to sure about that tbh but....

Finally - the shot that byclists get to see as every other bugger is in front of me! Note the bling rear tail light.....

I would definately scrap the stickers - all of them. I'm not even a fan of the blue bits or the SL1000 Falco stickers. One day I'll get round to removing them all - leaving only the tank Aprilia.

Despite having a few sricker's on mine I agree with fausto.
I also don't like the disaster area bit. On a positive note sticker's a side, it looks pretty nice to me. I especialy like the balck fairing screws and the dark sides on the front Conti......
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

having had a guiness or two, the lion stickers and the T logo have fallen off

I want to keep the blue bits - they work well with the exhausts

agreed on the disaster area log - it won't work

I have also kept the logos on top of the tank - they sort of work as they are only visible from certain angles.

This winters project is too lose the indicators - along with a few other things that I have in my minds eye

***

I have to be honest - not just mine, but all the falcos, my god it is a beautiful bike :)

It looks pretty good to me Pete :smt004 :smt004
But I might be slightly biased, can't think why.
Kept the blue bits on mine and have just kept the small Aprilia Racing stickers on the belly pan since rebuild.

Take a ride on the Dark side :smt004 :smt096 :smt004

I'd paint it silver! :smt005

It'd be quicker for a start (lol)

Looks great, I'd loose a few of the stickers but Black is always at it's best when clean and uncluttered

Lose the stickers m8. I got rid of the standard sl1000 and rear stickers and just have some on the lower half of the bike (k&n that sort of thing) which help break up the bottom half of the bike. Losing the standard big ugly stickers made a huge change.

Bike looks nice tho and the swingarm just makes it that much better.

While yr at it tho, take the bonnet scoop off the rover! :smt002
