My Falco and What Came Next

In 2003, I bought my Falco, a bike I had lusted after ever since parking my Honda VFR750 next to one just outside Edinburgh. I kept my Falco for 9 years before trading it in for the BMW R1200S, which I hadn't lusted after at all, until I saw this one in my local Triumph dealer. I've now had the R12S for almost 9 years (how time flies!). I did also treat myself to a more comfy bike 5 years ago - a Triumph Tiger 800, which is a great practical, easy, fun bike to ride, but it doesn't grab me in quite the same way as my Falco did, or the Beemer does now. It's the twin-effect, whether it's a V or a Boxer, I just love the twin pulse character that these bikes have.
The first photo is me (pre-glasses) bimbling rather nervously around on a track day in 2011. I was terrified of binning it, although the tyres did look pretty second hand at the end of the day. The second photo is setting off for a fun blast a few days ago.
The Sidi boots have lasted well!
