Squadron Nero's Black Hawk
I've been busy over the Christmas holidays and spent a few hours here and there removing what I can cleaning, servicing, repairing and replacing as required. I finally got her finished today.
Sorry for the dreadfully poor pic quality as it was going dark and there's not much light in the garage.
I'm happy with the results and I'm happy with the way the bike is for the time being. I think I'll wait until next winter to do anything else to her, ohlins shock, Millie swingarm Oz wheels :)
Some of the work included,
ASV levers
Oberon billet LED indicators
Supersprox sprockets and gold chain
Belly pan
Decals
Laser blue headlight bulbs
K&N air filter
Few pics of my efforts and what she's looking like now

It's on the list but unless one comes up cheap it's going to wait until the end of the year early next year. Tbh there's nothing wrong with my standard shock. The bike handles perfectly well and it's not like I'm doing track days or ought so I'm not I a rush.Aladinsaneuk wrote:very clean

Bikes looking good. I think you must be that bloke who is the correct weight for the standard shock. Certainly doesn't seem to bother you when I've been following.squadron Nero wrote:It's on the list but unless one comes up cheap it's going to wait until the end of the year early next year. you may be the lucky one then
I still say that sorting and setting the suspension was the best single mod I did to my falco - it made a good bike, excellent
and for the money - get a white spring mille shock and have it refurbed and resprung to your weight - under 200 quid iirc

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Maybe I am just the right weight for the spring as I do feel comfortable I the bike. No doubt having ridden blinkey's with the ohlins it's better. I have had the suspension set up for my weight by SSR in Telford. I do plan on swapping for an ohlins in the future so don't want to spend the money on a white shock either as it won't be on for very long.

tbh
unless you are a riding god
the white spring shock, refurbed, and front forks serviced and set up will be as good as a rear ohlins .... they also need a refurb and set up in the main - lots of Wonga
yes, I do have an ohlins - but only because I could - NOT because I could justify it
hope that makes sense
