Two Falcos and it didn't rain !

#1 Post by D-Rider » Mon Jul 28, 2014 10:37 pm

Having let Falco Pete down for the Sunset to Sunrise charity ride (due to my suffering vertigo for a while), I had vowed to meet up with him at some point this summer.

On Sunday we met up just outside Alton and rode on to Loomies Cafe for a brew and then headed on to Portsdown hill (just outside Portsmouth).

Here's a pic of our Falcos with Pete next to his:

While we were there Pete got chatting to a very nice young lady with a GSR 750 .... and even secured her phone number (got to be worth something in the blackmail stakes not to tell his mrs .....)

Anyway, the sun was out and we had a great day before going our separate ways again near Alton.

I realised that over almost the past year I've not ridden at all other than the daily commute (3 miles each way) and the chance to put in more than 300 miles in about 26hrs was a change of pace .... took a while to re-calibrate.

These Falcos are bl@@dy fantastic road-burners.

pigging amazed that noah did not cause an ark - or did you need another?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Great pics. Hopefully he can come to a meet so we can meet the guy.
Glad you had a good ride out and the weather was kind. :smt003

Met Pete a few weeks ago, top bloke. If I had known I would have popped down as the Bluono was up and running again.

Doh!

If we get round to it again, we'll let you know.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

We could play "Spot the Falco" with that one Pete.
Should be easier than "Where's Wally" as there are two in the picture (and the two Wallies are out of shot)

Now just remind me .... who is it on this forum that keeps asking for things to photograph :smt017

(albeit to a better standard than the pics we took)

Tis true, but we have to try and keep the riff raff out of shot to show the excellence of our steeds. :smt003
