Nice until your bum starts complaining.

The steering is better, vision is better, slow speed control is transformed, motorway stuff is bearable, town riding is easy, and enjoyable speeds are kept almost reasonable. And your back never hurts.

But. Comfort at speed is reduced. Distance before posterior complains is greatly reduced. And fine control at speed is poor.

So I like it but you would have to want it to make it worth while.

For those who are curious, try the bars of the triple conversion - costs nothing bar some fettling

plus points - not quite so sit up as rob's very well done work, but easier on the back

not quite so radical so handling is fine

still able to tuck in behind a double bubble screen so long trips are ok - may i suggest that having a skinny arse and a falco saddle is never going to be comfortable :)

Translation from the swamp-dweller dialect .............

For any that wish to trial a more upright riding stance, before you embark on a modification scheme involving risers and a tubular handlebar, you may like to try moving the standard Falco clip-ons to a position above the top yoke.
