I've had about eight many years ago!
They didn't have fibre optics in those days and it was more like a thick old rubber gas pipe round a coax, bloody camera wasn't that minature either, couldn't talk for two or three days!
The doctor was a great chap, he was always happy if it made you heave as he got another 6" of the tube down. (serious).
I'm clear now so not had one for many years, hope you feel better soon!

No valium spray with that MartDude? Not sure I would have ridden after.

No, Sam. Had a spray of local anaesthetic on my throat, but decided to forego the sedation on offer, not because I'm 'ard, I wanted it over and done with asap, and didn't want to waste the rest of the day feeling zonked.

Used to do valium when I had mine done, tablet first then the spray, used to joke about it in those days until I took it. I have never had anything like that before or since. Couldn't really remember anything for an hour or so with that stuff. Evidently I always used to argue with the wife that I would be fine to drive, fortunately she never believed me. Remember going back to Mother in Law's to pick our daughter up. I staggered through the front door, she asked if I was ok I said yes, wife NO he isn't.
Before I had chance to argue I fell into the wooden coffee table breaking all four bloody legs off.
Didn't feel a thing. Was still "pissed" well into the evening.

I rode over Clee Hill for the first time on Sunday after a 180mile Shropshire/Mid Wales jaunt... I was mighty impressed with the view for somewhere thats relatively flat.

Would like to explore that bit of the country, Uncle and Aunt used to live in Malvern but only know one or two good roads round there. Went to Shrewsbury years ago, but only for a weekend away. Had a Bedford Midi at the time (which boiled over and broke down on the way home), didn't get to do any interesting exploring as it was pre-bike days for me. Hills are good, hills mean meandering roads.

Mart - top of Holme Moss, part of my favourite ride over to Glossop, Buxton, Leek and back through Castleton. Love the roads East of Squires too but it's a bit of a pain getting there round Wakefield and Garforth etc.

Thought it looked vaguely familiar - haven't been round there for over 20 years.

Nooj - if you fancy a trip up here, you're welcome to a pile of straw in our hovel for as many nights as you want. And if you want to venture further North, I'm sure Pat could be prevailed upon. BTW, he's got plans for you.

Been chatting to Pat, eagerly awaiting his reply! IIRC Renovator would be wanting to pay me a visit while I was up there as well.

Not forgotten Nooj, but since I asked about a shropshire shiny bike gathering things have gone a bit awol. I'm now selling my Falco, and am back on the VFR (which I actually prefer - sorry, that's blasphemy on here I know :smt002 ) and in a bit of a bike lull at the moment. Hoping to get myself sorted in the next few months so that I can hlep with a shropshire gathering.
