nobody on here
looks like theres nobody posting on here so I'll post a couple of pics of my rs50. Bought approx 18 months ago I.ve been restoring it with a view to giving it to my son in november when he turns 16. When I bought it ,it was a box of bits ,had 16 previous (hooligan ) owners and should really have been thrown straight into a skip. Many hours, pounds and spares later its a cracking bike that got me back into the bike scene and so led to me getting my own. As my son so proudly points out, if it wasn;t for him I'd be rich ( probably true about all kids!)

yeah the stinkwheel forum is a bit quiet. I have posted on here in the past about my youngest son'a Aprilia scooter that I got going for him when he was 16.
Looks as though you did a great job on your lad's bike.

I was once loaned a KR1S when I was in the Isle of Man, so - I did a lap! Fantastic fun, absolute hooligan tackle. On the twisties any other bike was a target, and of course you were a target for any other stinkwheel (normally RGVs).robbier6 wrote:looking very pretty....I'll use it as motivation to restart doing the kr1s
Always had a soft spot for them, even though the tests of the day always seemed to prefer the RGV. A properly set up KR1S engine is a peach.

Funny that...... I have RS250's stored in my saved list since going to micks house. I agree the bikes he has they are very nice, and he is a dab hand when it comes to tinkeringmangocrazy wrote:I'd just like to say that Mick (mickt1964) has a lovely pair of stinkwheels - an RD250LC with TZR250 forks and wheels (very tasty) and an Aprilia RS250 that is just sublime. He has (unintentionally, I'm sure) started me thinking two-stroke thoughts again after over 10 years of abstinence...

I reckon you,d be surprised gio. This bikes taller than my rgv , I'm 5'8" and it suits me fine! Funny when I started this my lad couldnt reach the pegs , now after a growth spurt he can touch the floor easily.Gio wrote:Very nice, wish it was mine (I doubt I'd be able to get on it being a bit tall)
Been taking him to a local aerodrome just to get the basics sorted. He's absolutely
Busting for November when his b/day is!
I know what its like tho' still waiting for my first ride on the falco bought from miket. Sat in the garage awaiting better weather.
You're right about his strokers too , hoping the rgv will compare to them 1 day.
I don't care if you lick windows,
Take the special bus
Or occasionally pee on yourself.
You hang in there sunshine, you're special!
