Falco\Tuono side stand

A friend of mine has a Tuono and asked me about his side stand, he stated that his seems to lean over a lot and he is afraid that it might topple one day.

I knew straight away when I bought my falco I had to change the stand, did or does the tuono suffer from the same thing.

I said I would ask for him and then pass on the information or the link if there is one.

cheers

I haven't seen his bike in the flesh so I can't say how bad the lean is.

From everything I have heard and having asked about this recently for Gen 1 I would say yes Tuono Mille and Falco do unlike the mobile sofa which Mart Tells me has a centre stand :)

Yup. Centre stand beats even the best enema for satisfaction

Sorry for the sense of humour bypass but could someone tell me does the Tuono have a problem with its side stand.

yes

but consider the following caveat

the tuono's generally have a better spec rear shock on them than the falco and early mille and are often set higher - hence why they do lean over more BUT - as i have said in other threads, look at the bike from behind when it is on its side stand - the footprint remains very narrow so....

Not a difinitive answere, but I've never known anyone to replace the Falco stand with a UK Tuono one, so I'm assuming it is the same beast. There may be merit in replacing the tilter plate to get the stand to stick out a bit more, but it's never going to be a great fix.

Exactly the same problem we have - basically same old crock of shite (except for the USA market bikes)

The sidestand bracket is the same part number - however the stand itself doesn't share part numbers.
I've never closely compared the two but I think they are probably the same stand with a simple difference (which I suspect is the positioning of the rod that sticks out for you to be able to get your foot on it and kick it down).
