any difference in early rsv millie front forks to falco

#1 Post by Blackranger68 » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:28 pm

Does anyone know if the internals of the early rsv millie showa front forks are different from those on the falco?

Its just that Ive got round to replacing my forks with a pair of early rsv millie ones and they seem much stiffer than the ones i had on. Should mention here that I serviced the falco forks last mid last year and also did the millie ones with the same viscosity of oil and they just seem much stiffer. Both falco and millie forks set to same settings. could the millie springs be a bit stiffer?

The showas on the Mille have the same part numbers as the showas used on the Falco.
They are identical .... unless you are comparing with the marzocchis on the later Falcos.

Possible differences:
  • Someone could have fitted different springs to one of the sets
Someone could have had one of the sets re-valved
Someone could have fitted the ohlins internals kit to one of the sets
