Not sure if the title makes sense but I have a 2001 Mille that i would like to Tuono, but I much prefer the look of the Falco, so would like to fit a Falco top fairing instead of a Gen 1 Tuono ie Falcuono my Mille I am ok with the top yoke, risers and bars. Just need some advice on fitting the Falco top fairing to a Mille. Which fairing bracket etc, any one done this?

Not heard if it done, but sounds interesting. It'll not be cheap as Falco subframes are rarer than rocking horse poo to find cheap. That's like Alad says, if it'd fit..
If I were doing it...
I'd either buy a falco fairing with no framework and make my own framework to fit.. or.. measure up against a falco and guesstimate whether it'd fit..
My first idea would be the one i went with. if you spend out on a fairing youve GOT to then make it fit, you have no other choice. I'd say its the more fun option.
Just do it.

Noooo - it's bad enough when Falco owners start chopping up their fairings to make these Falcuono things .... now we have Mille folks plundering Falco supplies to cut them about
Despite the rant - Welcome to the forum

Thanks for your replies guys, I know it seems a lot of work but I have a Mille with a damaged fairing and instead of going the gen 1 Tuono route (which I don't really like the look of)
I thought the Fuonos I've seen look much better so why not go the whole hog and have something different. I've noticed quite a few of people trying to make their Falcos more like Milles - swingarms, exhausts etc so why not the other way? they are all Aprilias and we want to be just a little different from the crowd.
Think I like Kwackerz idea about using my framework as i have a spare to experiment with, just need a damaged falco top fairing to to play around with, can any one help, who is Kerry?

kiwiboy
he has a blue falco with a knackered sprag and somewhat interesting panels etc... probably fixable but...
(We did have a discussion about the value of the bike as a none runner - concensus seemed to be aroun £900..... )
iirc the 2001 mille had the larger valves etc so may be an interesting lump to drop into a falco frame....
and don't get us started on using mille's as donor bikes - it could be a very long discussion!

Ok let's start by assuming I haven't retained any of the above info but what about the Falco afterthoughts kit?

Get onto the Ultimate Parts website and compare the parts lists between the two bikes.

Will have to keep trawling ebay for a fairing and headlight I guess. Here's another one, where are the coils on a falco? cos on the Mille they are on the outside of the frame spars on show so need coil covers off a Tuono, would like to put them out of sight if poss, cheers

They're inside the frame on a Falco.
If you want a bike that looks like a Falco, you're going to have to get a Falco I think, it is the easiest way to do what you want.
