Well after nearly 10yrs of contuinous Aprilia ownership. Today i've finally sold the Tuono

I've bought a 1200GS Bimmer (the tank) and plan on doing some serious miles across Europe with both my friends (this year) and next year with the missus (which should be fun!!)

Sorry to see her go, but I really needed a change in direction after losing my best mate last year (he'll be looking down pi**ing himself laughing about what I've bought though) I've already done over a 1,000 miles on the bimmer in the last month alone, so its getting more use than the "T" ever did.

This will still be the first forum I log onto daily though, so you don't get rid of me that easily

Sorry to hear your now Tuono-less, Rich, but glad to hear your putting some serious miles on the new bolide.

Get the seat changed, unless you want to be a cripple. its nothing like as good as the old 1150GS seat.

You're right mate, its bl**dy rubbish isn't it? I'm already looking out for Sargent or a Corbin, although I've found putting the front of the seat on its high setting and the back on the low setting helps enourmously

Fit a nice top box for the pipe and slippers. Yes, I know its a good bike and all that but it is still a boxer beemer...

Just got back off hols so only just read.
It is sad to see the T go Rich, but as said before, biking is about whatever floats your boat at any time. You're obviously enjoying the Bimmer, so keep it up!
As you have said before, slowing down a bit and still having fun ain't such a bad idea!
Stick around and pop in for a chat now and then, we will always be pleased to hear from you.
Be nice to get a report on the Euro tours this summer!

Boy I do miss that Tuono though, The bimmer is taking an awful lot of getting used to.

Sometimes its a joy, sometimes its a pig. The gearbox is a moving diaster area (don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise) today I lost count of the number of times it repeated its annoying habit of dropping back down to the gear you've just changed up from.

However, this will always be the first place I log on to whenever the PC is turned on. Been here too long, its a habit I don't want to break

You'll find Rich will still be on the list as one of the Aprilia Mods and Im sure will still be lending a hand where needed with information and direction about Falcos for those that require it (in between bouts of invading countries of Europe on his Reich Machinen)
