Dear Santa,
Can I have a new Aprilia RSV4 Factory please?
I don't want to appear greedy, so you can remove the socks, slippers, aftershave and other items that have already been put on my list by other members of my extended family.

He only has one to give out this year and sorry, but I beat ya to it.
I got my letter in first.
And for my birthday I would like a tail tidy and an underseat exhaust.
Thanks in advance

25Kg lighter than a 'Blade too .... and it'd just be for me (no pillion provision).
I like the Falcoesque trimmed-back fairing too.
Plenty of info etc on
Aprilia's RSV4 microsite
Also on the
ApriliaNews site

Yeh it is a lotta wedge but that's why I'm asking Santa for it.
And sod off I got the first request in to the old man.
Thought it was obvious, no way I could afford to pay that much for a bike myself. Plus would obviously have to keep the Falco as RSV4 might be a bit uncomfortable for an old fart like me to use all the time.
Beautiful toy to get in your Christmas stocking though.
You could leave it in front of the fireplace where Santa left it, just look and droooool until the weather got better outside and you could actually ride it.
Suppose Dale will be on next explaining why he should get first option as he could ride it on Christmas Day in Oz!
Back in the real world it will be interesting to see how it goes in WSB with Max on board, also just an outside possibility of Corser going back there with Max, that really would be a nostalgia trip - Max who won so many races on Aprilia strokers, and Troy who really flew in WSB in the first season on the old RSV.

Um..........
Does anyone else think it's a bit ugly?

Personally I can't wait for the Tuono version apparently due in 2010!
It does look superb though and it'll be great to have an Aprilia to cheer on in the world supers but.......................Max????
Complete waste of time, There's no doubting his ability but he cannot set up a new bike, (ask Yamaha) no-one can work with him and who would want to be in the same team as him?
Great bike, poor choice of rider IMHO, but I hope I'm proved wrong

Wouldn't argue with some of these point F9, that's why it would be nice if Troy was on board as well, but he has always had very tidy consistent lines and I was a big fan of his in the early days on 250 Aprilias.
He's never really been the same since Rossi screwed his brain in MotoGP.

Agree about the looks and about Max. It looks sensational, and I've always had a soft spot for V4s (having owned 3 VFRs). But Max as a development rider doesn't cut it. When everything is working right no-one is faster on the day, but getting the bike to that point will be the challenge.

I agree with back_marker. I think its ugly, looks like a jap bike. Although if you whip the fairing off, i'd have one.
Anyway, im younger, so my christmas list has more priority over everyone elses
"hello? mr insurance man? can i get a quote please?" (being so youthfull does have its downfallls

Good point Howard and one I'd not thought of before. Furthermore, since I'm ahead of you I'd be able to have a few hours on it and get it back to Santa in time for him to put it in your stocking for the morning.

I'm not competely sold on the back end, but with a tail tidy it should be ok and it'll grow on you. Initially I wasn't so sure about the back of the Falco, but now I reckon it's one of the better ones.

That's as maybe but he's coming from Lapland right?
Then he has to fly by my house to get to yours.
The chances of him passing are minimal as the chances of him being shot down are great indeed.
