Aprilia spares - a good experience !!

#1 Post by Fausto » Tue Aug 14, 2007 3:57 pm

I had to order a new rear brake light switch last month and with a sinking feeling looked up the part on the Yorks Aprilia website. £14.84 plus post plus VAT on post! (sorry - personal pet hate there) so £21.98 in all.

OK I thought, could be worse. That'll teach me to piss around with parts that were working just fine anyhow :smt009

Thought I would try shopping around to see who could get it quickest and not expecting much price variation. I rang In Moto in Croydon and was quoted £10.82 plus £3.50 post. That was £14.32 total !! It was in stock and despite the helpful gent's disclaimers of delay in the post due to striking postmen (Tarts :smt003 ) it arrived 2 days later by Recorded Delivery.

Well Chuffed ! :smt007

Glad you put that up, think I might need a new one as mine appears to have packed up. Don't know how long it's been gone for, only noticed when I changed the rear lens :smt004

I only had to wait 9 days for my new nose cone. Sadly I should have come back from Italy with it, its 2/3rds the price of here :smt010

I got mine from Inmoto back in July and because they do my servicing they did not charge for the post. Very friendly Aprilia/Guzzi and now KTM dealer run by an Italian family. Also offered me hospitality at the BSB rounds where they are running in the KTM Superduke series this year, which was nice.
