Not sure what to go with. Just purchased some new to me bike panels from AF1. I had a good jolly on Friday to collect. 580 round mile trip.
But it was nice to meet Rab. He gave me some good pointers, and had a stripped rear hub assembly and showed me the various components that need greasing for which I am greatfull.
So what d ya think?

I like this

And this. The only problem with this one is that there seems to be quite a few futura's in the states already done.

Don't like this :smt018

I wondered if this colour scheme would look out of place on the futura though.

Or should I go with a plain colour scheme?

The plain one for me looks less likely to date

Not over-keen on any of them - think I prefer the standard colours (though I don't strongly dislike any of them either)

If I had to choose from these it would be the Italian Tricolour

I'd tend to agree with Andy - I've always preferred solid colours, perhaps with different coloured wheels for a counterpoint. The trouble is that as soon as you paint a bike in a non-standard colour you knock value off the bike, no matter how well it's done. Add that to the cost of the respray and it means you're a fair bit out of pocket.

But as you have a spare set of plastics I guess the above doesn't apply. But I'd avoid lines that go from front to back of the bike, as the Fut is quite angular in styling and from most viewing angles straight (or even curved) lines will look anything but.

I agree with the above comments; the multi-colour jobs are too fussy. I'd suggest sticking to one main colour, with, perhaps, a little detailing here and there to break it up.

Definitely.

I like the Italian Tricolor design but not the black bellypan - too bland.

Good comments on the styling from Mango
