Picked it up last night late on.
Hence why there is a lot of bits for sale.
First job is to strip the rear hub assembly and grease the bearings.
Then check all the other troublesome woes of futura's over the winter
With the advice of mart, and flatlander spotting this bike in gumtree it will be my ride to meets and maybe that long trip up to Scotland I have promised myself for so long.
And no more aching shoulders and neck on long hauls.
I am greatful to you both for your help :smt008
So to all the members please feel free to by my bits in the classified ads fella's :smt002

Ah yes - you'll need to sell those Falcos to cover your subscription to "Pipe & Slippers Monthly"

Looks nice Jay ..... but don't think I could have brought myself to ditching the Oasis & magpie for one

It looks really nice Jay, but if you are ready for the pipe and slippers, where the hell does that leave an old git like me? :smt009 :smt009 :smt017

Ah, now it all becomes clear... Very nice - I was rather taken with Mart's FutFut at the recent meet. I note yours has some rather tasty cans fitted, as well...

How long before all the mods start - uprated forks, front brakes etc...? :smt003

Not sure about the front being uprated. But the cans are quill cans.

Stock forks and brakes are fine, though some find the stock forks a little soft. Slightly heavier oil helps.

Some say the Futura is particularly sensitive to tyre choice, profile, and wear, especially with the front tyre. From my own experience, I've found some tyres feel better than others; didn't like original spec Metzler Z4, while Avon Storm & Michelin PR2 suit it much better, IMHO; smoother turn in.

I'll bet they were spendy when new. So there's a fair bit of value just in the aftermarket parts.
