Hello Futura lovers: rear Light set-up
I think I have met some of you once (Martdude and Teulu?). I have had problems with the ultra-crappy rear light unit with the captive nuts breaking off, and aralditing it back together about three times, so I decided to see what I could do after discovering the staggering cost of a new one. I have built up a unit which bolts into the two outer bolts consisting of a LED stop/tail light, and indicators attached to a number plate bracket. I also finally replaced the flasher unit with one of the electronic ones that is not current dependent. I have photos. the whole lot probably cost less than 50 of your Earth pounds. (Except I already had a rear wiring loom which I have modified and have had to mess about with different bulbs, buy some connectors and a soldering iron!) The wiring is redirected through the hole for the central light unit bolt, so avoids going anywhere near the exhaust. The other good news is the bike passed it's MoT again.
So can I add pictures? Or does anyone want to e-mail me for them?

Hello & welcome, Dt. Fut.
Not, as yet, having experienced the tail-light problem, I can't add anything useful. But please post up you pics of your solution, for future reference.
BTW, it's customarary for new chaps to head for Sam's Bar to introduce themselves, and get the drinks in.
Good to have another Futura in here.
