Southern Cross Airkit
I come bearing interesting news...
Having spoken to Southern Cross, the last known rene kits having been at the Southern Cross shop in Kilburn, I can confirm there are no more on the planet that are in an unused sellable new state.
I do know however that Southern Cross are looking to develop their RSV racebike over the winter period (Don's RSV was pretty bloody brutal and was running a rene kit) and there may be scope for them to release a Southern Cross version of the Rene kit as a result of their testing. This is not set in stone but knowing how reliable SC are, this will most probably happen.
If anyone IS interested, please let me know and I can email Don and the lads and let them know the scores on the doors from RiderSite. I guess you could ask elsewhere, but primarily just RS / ARS.
Theyve not even set a price yet but if you're interested let me know so we can feed that back to them.
List so far:

Yep! I've asked for first dibs on either the Rene off Don's Racebike or one of the new development kits if they go to production. They know there is demand so are going to look into it with a proper view to going into production.
Obviously I shall offer up my RSV free for testing..

Could be interested if they'd be prepared to make a variant for the Futura - different throttle bodies. Perhaps you could PM me contact details, Tim, if you'd prefer me to approach them separately?

Not as yet, Firestarter.. while I was speaking to them earlier it was mentioned about the airkit, theyre aware there is still lots of interest in Aprilia circles (they themselves still race Aprilias) but they still need to look into development of it and manufacture costs. it's more just gauging reaction to the idea at present.
I can say that Southern Cross wouldnt put their name to anything even remotely shoddy, so whatever comes out of the darkest depths of Kilburn would be a proper quality product with a race pedigree. I from my own thoughts, expect the kit to come in probably on par or slightly more expensive than other kits have in the past, but mainly due to the fact VAT has increased since the last ones were produced in any great number.
Methinks if they do materialise they will be something special.. which is why I shall be getting two.. one to go on the bike and one to sit and polish on cold winter nights in Hobbiton...
Mart, PM..
