Just looked at the dvd again, i didnt realise the rear crank ran opposite to the front.
Is this normal on all v twins?

Yes - seen it before but still nice to see it again ....

Presume you mean the cams rather than the crank ..... and that will be because the cylinders are effectively the opposite way round to each other - Intake through the TBs in the middle of the V, exhaust of the front cylinder at the front of the front, exhaust of the rear cylinder at the rear.
