Great news and Thankyou as well in return.. We now have another answer for when someone comes on with a similar problem. Knowledge is power. Hopefully someone else will find the solution to their problem as a result and save themselves pain and anguish.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Griff still has it at the garage, he's giving it to you when you come in. Thanks very much all the same. What time will you be there?

Yeah knowledge is indeed power, this could certainly help if people have similar problems. Funny enough Griff initially suspected a sheared component in the flywheel becasue of a similar problem. I wish it had been lol it would only have cost two hours labour and thats it so he told me. Ah well, like you say its another problem identified and solved.

And - did you know - Spandex features in his past - and perhaps still does.

I saw the evidence yesterday, with my very own eyes

He went very sheepish when I confronted him with the box, with 'Spandex'clearly printed upon it , I discovered in the loo.

I suppose it's to be expected, considering his choice in dungarees
It flies sideways through time
It's an electric line

Strangely enough, I was in there the other day and he was showing people a box addressed to the chief jaffa cake muncher so it must be true.

I'm popping in Friday dinnertimeish so to save confusion I'm the incredibly suave good looking one. I prefer custard creams.
