Nope - we all agree - a Rotax engined Aprilia - Whichever you go for, they are all pretty similar and we all say to get one ....

If it means you'll make a decision, then do it ..... and Will & I will be round on a regular basis running Rotax V-twins to constantly remind you what you could have had .....

Good luck with whatever you buy mate, I'm sure you will enjoy the Blade, just as I have enjoyed all my Hondas over the years, (Until I got the Falco!)
Let us know how you go on either way.

Only sensible reason not to get one would be not liking V twins. Otherwise, stop dithering & take the plunge. If you don't like your RSV, Falco or whatever, you can always sell it and make do with an IL 4. All motor vehicles have their niggles; Aprilias aren't any different in this respect, but their niggles are relatively minor and easily fixed/prevented.
BTW - Firestorms are nowhere as well finished or equipped as an Aprilia equivalent (Falco?), and the VFR 800 looks cheap alongside a Futura, which also handles better. Everyone I know who's had both Aprilias and Japanese bikes say the Aprilias are far more engaging & satisfying. So there

Yeah last post was aimed at causing trouble i admit.
I'm going to look at a Mille in Tamworth on Saturday, 2004 with shotgun pipes seat hump all the history in excellent condition the guy says. He's sadly going through a divorce and the bike didn't go on ebay for £2800 so he said i can have it for £2500 if i want it. Feel sorry for the guy he seems really attached to it. I'll just promise it a good home.

Going to Tamworth? ..... the UK Aprilia owners' "Holy City"
That's where
Aprilia Performance is based - run by the greatest Aprilia guru of them all - Griff.

Yes, indeed, Tamworth. I'm buying private though.
The legend of Griff is spread far and wide and i've been told i will eventually get to know him one way or another.

tbh
decide if you want il4 or v twin
then ride all the models that fit - and not just for a quick squirt up the road - 50 miles on each
personally, i love the falco - but appreciate the other rotax lump bikes
I guess you also need to ask yourself what you are going to do with the bike - ie, don't expect to tour heavily on a mille, or race a futura....
if you twist my arm gently, and repair any damage you cause, then if you are at mallory this week end take my falco for a rip - the points are yours btw
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Its a toughie but i think i'm going for the Mille. At the end of the day, Steph gives me free reign of the blade when i want it and i believe the mille is a better bike than the firestorm even though i've had a soft spot for them for years.
I appreciate you're offer chap.

Compared to the Firestorm, absolutely no contest whatsoever.
Here's a magazine review including the Firestorm and the Falco (as we've said, much the same as the Mille .... though the stock Falco's rear shock is somewhat worse)
Read it and understand. I've never seen a test report where the Falco doesn't come out top of the group - though they don't tend to compare with 4cyl bikes in these reviews.

If you must have a jap bike, get the big bang R1, you'll get all the low end grunt of our twins, plus the top end mania of an IL4. Good luck at finding a road where you can let it sing for more than three minutes though, they don't really come alive until you reach go-to-prison-now speeds.
Unless you want to spend your life doing 170mph up and down motorways, get a big twin rather than a litre IL4, they're much better road bikes. Or if it has to be jap crap, get a 600.

the trouble with a jap 600 is that if top end rush is your thing you'll breaking the speed limit in 1st gear, by the time your in 3rd your doing 120, it just isn't worth it imho, that why the kwak must go, for shits and giggles on the road you just cant beat a twin..........providing it aint a harley :p

Oh dear ..... I thought you'd progressed from doing that sort of thing - now please clean it up properly before the owner finds out
Congrats .... and pics to be posted as soon as you get it
