Looking for brake/clutch levers - try these guys.

Fitted some (titanium finish) last weekend. Look great, appear to be good quality, and no hassle to fit, except for the nasty tight little grub screw in the OE clutch lever (secures the actuator pin/push rod, or whatever it's called).
If it's tight, don't force it - you'll probably snap the ridiculously thin Allen key. Heat it first - I used a turboflame lighter. Unscrews easily then.

Will be nice to replace my "starting to look a bit scabby" Brembos with some trick levers which are cheap enough to stay off the shiny toy wiferadar

Very nice they are too, great recommendation, cheers!

Well I got sucked into these as well as my old levers are looking worse for wear so I ordered some off the link originally put up. They arrived today so I fitted the brake lever no worries but was ( am ) having problems with the clutch getting the push rod out .....bloody grub screw !! Anyway off I went with the brake lever on and looking good or it was till after about a mile when my front brake started to come-on for no reason and then lock on fully just as I left the round about. Managed to get to the side of the road so all was well but needed to get my good women to come down with the old lever to re-fit so i could get on my way again ....
So my question is ....same levers same bike, what the f##k have I done wrong to make that happen? It seems to me that the new levers when fitted must be putting pressure on the brakes causing them to overheat and stick.....
Any ideas please forward to Cornish muppet , Cornwall ......AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

It would seem that there are slight variations between the levers from the various Far Eastern suppliers. My brake lever from MC Motorparts fitted with no modification needed; Pete, and some on AF 1, using different suppliers, have reported having to remove a little material to allow the necessary free play on the lever.
The clutch lever fitted with no problems other than the grub screw issue, easily dealt with using a turboflame lighter.

This is VERY important - a while back several people reported that their brakes jammed ON aftrer fitting cheap aftermarket levers sourced via ebay.MartDude wrote:It would seem that there are slight variations between the levers from the various Far Eastern suppliers. From what I can gather, some are fine and some are downright dangerous.

I have a set of these levers and they are 100% spot on. I'm just wondering if you have you identified what / where on the lever is actually binding? as they are anodised you should be able to see if any of the anodising has been rubbed off if its binding within the mounting
Did the lever move freely when you installed it? I'm assuming you'll have checked that everything was working 100% before you went for your ride, so i'm curious as to what could have changed whilst you were riding?

Oh and before i forget ........The clutch small push rod thingy as we all know isn't the easiest thing to remove ( no matter how hot i make it ) so anyone know where i could get a new one from ? I've seen them on Af1 but they wanted $40 postage ontop of the $32 to buy it .....

I know what you mean Falco i went through the whole thing myself , i basically just removed the old one and replaced it , quick check that the brake was working OK which it was and then off i went , about a mile down the road the front brake start to drag then just as i got of the roundabout i had to pull over. It does seem to be that i have to "push" to get the lever in ( if that makes sense ) so i'm thinking it's that that is making the brake drag on a bit ......... The lever was moving freely enough and have to say i didn't think for one moment wasn't in the right position ....

I have just bought a set - not quite sure how I didn't see this beforehand.
I will let you know how they fit, but could the issue be something to do with not adjusting the plunger properly, I know it not the same but I have had issues with this causing clutch slip when it is adjusted up too tight on the master cyclinder.
