It's got to the stage where I can't really see me ever selling her unless the right offer came in and lets be honest, it's unlikey

Yep - invest in those braces F9 ... we can't have your daughter's trousers slipping down!
Ok... I do know what you really mean re the costs and changes in funding for orthodontic work - my 2 eldest kids (eventually) had their teeth sorted on the good old NHS. 3rd one came along and the dentist screwed up his referral - by the time we sorted this out the funding rules had changed and we were told we could go ahead but it would cost £2500 or so.
With 2 kids already done, how do you say NO to the third?!
Anyway, think he thought it was a bit much and as he had more problems with his lower teeth decided he would save us the cash (thank God). I think he's planning to come back to us in a couple of months to remind us of this as he's approaching 16 and wants a scooter (not that I'll need much pursuasion .... although I'd sooner he was starting on a 125 rather than a gutless 50cc thing that can't keep up with traffic.
BTW your daughter will be glad you decided not to sell her .... If you are that sure the right offer won't come along, can I take it that she takes after you rather than her mother?
