Last bloke must have rode in a circle for 100 miles followed by a 100 mile straight....very strange!
Probably practising wheelies and knee down r.a.bs.

Are the front forks fekked? :smt083

Yeah...Very strange about the tyres...last bloke swears he never even pulled a wheelie on it, and the bike he traded in for it was a 600 Fazer (got original bill of sale) so I am presuming he wasn't the type, he mainly used it for a couple of tours round scotland ....

but anyway had a good ride out sunday from Doncaster to willingham woods back through wragby way home ...

then after a cuppa went out again! ...up to Fridaythorpe (on the way to scarbrough) back york way to squires in sherburn, then home ...result...a big grin and no sore shoulders!! :smt007 :smt007 :smt008

Bike is running well, handles great, seems lighter and more flickable, has a nice induction roar due to a renegade airbox, and it pulls really well ( getting really flighty on the Lincon "B" roads so think i'll keep the standard gearing set-up for now! ) also felt fine cruising at 90+ with not much wind.

I was originally thinking of getting a four pot comfy Fazer type bike and was worried that I'd have two of the same bike if you know what I mean ...but I'm happy I got the Tuono ...I felt instantly at home, its an easy bike to get on with....so all in all ...chuffed.

Only bug is the wheel colour ...cleaned them and after a short run feckin dirty again!! :smt009

a couple of quick pics...

Nice to hear you're gettin on well, beginning to sound like Old Red may soon be spending weekends at home alone already.
:smt010 :smt010 :smt010
When I first saw the Tuono at the NEC. I didn't really like it, then again the initial bronze colour didn't do it any favours, but your's and Rich's colour schemes look really good and it's seriously growin on me.
I've been twitchin a bit lately, still have my old CBR1000F as a winter hack, but will have had it 5 years in a couple of weeks and gettin a bit bored with the old ballistic sofa! I had been thinkin about chopping it in for a Blackbird again, still as a second bike for winter and occasional long two up runs. Then again your mix of a Falco and a Tuono sounds tempting, doubt if I could find the cash for a decent T without selling the Falco though, and would never do that, it stays till I pack up biking. (At my age I don't know how long I have left).
I still like the idea of two cheaper bikes rather than one more expensive one, it's been nice to sample different things over the years, and having the latest brand new model has never bothered me too much, (then again was tempted a bit by the ZZR14!). Unfortunately I fell totally for the Falco from the start and tend to take that out in winter rather than the CBR Thou. Don't know if a Blackbird would excite me any more than the CBR, it would never get near to a V60, but if you do ride in winter Honda's build quality, (particularly on their top spec models), is bloody good. Then again the Falco has been nearly as good, which initially surprised me. And on the reliability side the Falco has had just one problem (rear brake light switch) in around 18K miles over 3 1/4 years, the Honda has had 2 or 3 problems over 14 K miles and 5 years, (Voltage regulator, cracked rear disk :smt017 and a failed battery, helped by the Regulator problems, but it was old!).
Now I know what your new T looks like, I'll keep an eye out for you at Willingham.
Good luck with it.

Gone quiet on here so just an update......had an early christmas this year while the wife is away at Uni ha ha.

Decided to do an Autojumble at Newark this weekend to get rid off some clutter (good clutter!!)...I used to do them on a regular basis when my mates raced and I got their cast-offs....anyway had a really good day selling and made a fistfull of dollars :smt003

I noticed the LH switchgear (indicator switch) was a bit sloppy on the Tuono ......the stall next to me just happened to have an excellent one so I snapped it up at £3 :smt007

Then later that evening some goodies I was watching on fleabay happened to be ending that night ...I think you can guess the rest eh :smt005

So ...on it's way to me in the post (if posties stay at work!!) is an Ohlins rear shock / an Ohlins steering damper / a carbon rear seat cowl...wheyhey :smt007 :smt007

Just my way of recycling...old unwanted stuff for newer desperately wanted stuff ha ha. ..you are only here once so I get what I can when I can !

I'd only spend it on "herself" and bills anyway :smt012
