Tuono

#1 Post by Gio » Tue Jun 05, 2007 1:24 pm

Now some of you might think this should be in the relevant sub forum, well it should, this is for general as it could afferct everyone eventually.

I'm pleased to see that the Tuono has been selling so well the last year, however it will have its downside, ie the more they sell the rarer parts become (just like the BMW R1200GS) , now the BM is in the top 3 most stolen bike now and I've heard that some of the shadier dealers might well have their finger in the pie. Now this could well effect the Tuono as we all know its not always easy to source parts for them.

So if you buy a Tuono, don't park it outside and get yourselves some decent security.

Debz 2ono is chained to the garage floor with something you could use to moore the Ark Royal, it would be easier to saw the bike in half than cut through the chain.

I'm surprised that the GS is so high on the theft scale, I thought it was all scooters and 600 sportsbikes that went missing.

However with regard to parts availability (and stand back in amazment!!) the clocks on my Tuono have misted up and are difficult (nay impossible) to read.

Aprilia authorised replacement last Monday 18th, the clocks arrived at the dealers on Weds 20th!!!!!

2 days?????????????? :smt023 Maybe at long last all that Piaggio money has paid off
