#1 Post by Kwackerz » Sun Feb 24, 2013 9:04 pm

http://forum.mitoclub.com/topic/43812-v ... e-big-one/

Google translated:
some Italian guy wrote: I present to you my 1000 rsv 2002 that I carefully exhumed from a slaughterhouse done by the previous owner, I called "The Big One" as the terrible earthquake that await in California, because the first night that I used after called into life there had been an earthquake in northern Italy (a few years ago!)

Alad.. that was similar for my idea for the front of the airbox but utilising a renegade plate and devising a panel filter to go across the top of the 'slope' with sealing round the edges..

WTF he's using croissants for I don't know.. I take it he means the billet stacks.. from these guys [CAUTION SHINY STUFF ON LINK] http://favarettiracingtech.it/en/News.html

"Variable height cones for RSV1000 2004/05 made from a single block using a C.N. machine.
They operate pneumatically and their movement is controlled by an electronic control unit: their movement begins at the same time as the INTAKE FLAP controlled by the electronic control unit.
They are the best solution for those who want a sensible increase in torque and power at medium and low rpm (around 3/4HP) without losing performance at higher rpm. At present in this sector there is only one other similar system, that which is fitted to the MV F4 TAMBURINI"

As I said elsewhere

The ram air approach on a mille - by raising the tank 10mm - is as proven as a pope being elected for life

As for the rest.... Owner had too much money and too little knowledge IMHO

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Ahaha and as I said elsewhere it's not about ram, but providing clean air.. reducing aerodynamically dirty air to a minimum

Indeed. Just wish I could speak Italian..

Made me laugh that it was a post on the Cagiva Mito forum.. It's decent enough to impress on big boy bike forums without having to go applause hunting on the moped ones.. :smt002
