Sprag has sprugged it's last
Well it's finally given up the ghost after many weeks of clicks and bangs as the Falco wouldn't start in the damp garage. Now the engines not even turning over and I'm stranded. Without the funds to replace it, what am I going to need to spend just to repair it - I read that it can be done if there's no catastrophic damage. Anybody done it?
Sorry to hear your bad news

Yes. I have just fitted one to kerrys old bike. I found it reasonable to do. Griff sells the sprag clutches for around 90 quid deliveredKitchenSync wrote:Well it's finally given up the ghost after many weeks of clicks and bangs as the Falco wouldn't start in the damp garage. Price for oil and filter change at the same time.
Tolerance will be our undoing.

Nightmare mate. Mine started showing signs of being on its way out a couple of years back so I swapped it out.
I got a Ducati sprag clutch (identical) and it was about £20 cheaper than the Prilla item! Cant remember which model but it'll be around on the forums somewhere.
As Blinkey says: Not a particularly hard job, just budget fer an oil change!

Cheapest of all is Pierre's fix linked from my earlier link
