Hi all. Thought I'd say hello and how pleased I am to have finally found a good Falco resource. Lots of reading here. :smt004

Anyway, just treated myself to an '04 Falco with some tasteful and well thought out mods. It has a Mille R Ohlins shock, rebuilt by Revs last year. They've fettled the forks too, not sure what they've done exactly but it feels nice and plush. It has an aftermarket clutch slave cylinder, Gabro eprom and Blue Flame cans as well as a few other little touches.

This isn't my first Aprilia though, used to have a Mille which I used as a track bike for a couple of years. It was very much a tool for the job, nothing fancy - just some suspension upgrades, GPR damper and an Arrow 2-2 system. How loud!? :smt020

Sold that and did a bit of endurance racing with Hottrax on 600s but I only do trackdays for fun now. I was rubbish at racing so don't think I'm blowing my own trumpet. :smt003

Still have the R6 I raced.

Never really seen the point of proper sportsbikes on the road though. Too uncomfortable and too much like hard work. I've always preferred 'sporty' road bikes so the Falco definitely fits the bill.

I can tell you're probably :smt015 now, so I'll leave it at that. I'm off to digest some of the information you chaps have posted here.

Cheers. :smt033

:smt006 welcome
Your side stand is sorted too which will stop your bike from falling over.
Buying a bike from a former member of this site will mean a lot of the mods will be done. nice bike :smt002

Hi Keith and Welcome to RS and ARS.

Nice intro, nice bikes. :smt003

Glad you like the forum, the lads have worked hard to ensure pretty much any question has been covered with regards the Falco. Seldom does anyone find something that hasnt been covered!
