Picked my bike up this morning. I'd given them the bike and a rather used yellow spring shock and linkages.

They rebuilt, re-valved and re-sprung the shock. Then they fitted the shock and linkages, trying to keep the ride height about the same 'cause I only have little legs.

At the front they popped the forks out, polished the shiny bits, rebuilt them with new springs to suit and put it back together with four rings showing, as I'd asked.

Total price, parts, labour and vat was £506ish.

I've only ridden it the fifteen miles home but the difference is like night and day.

Before it used to crash about over bumps, be a pig to turn in, run wide coming out of bends and even looking at the brakes would make the bugger sit up.

Now it just goes where I point it and stays there, no fuss or drama. Hitting a bump doesn't have my arse out of the saddle and the brakes feel stronger because the front end is more composed.

They're nice folk, do good work and I think the price was reasonable for what they did, especially considering the results.

Now I just need some good weather.

thats all very encouraging .. i have had mine done by REVS . serviced the ohlins rear (as luck would have it the standard spring is spot on for my heavy riding gear) re sprung and new cartridges in the front only been round the block to settle it all so can set sag butt feels really good

I'm 17stone in the nip (not fat but comfortable as Blinky says).
The standard suspension with 22k of wear was really struggling.

John at Revs is one of the good guys, without a doubt. He knows his stuff and takes on board what you want from the bike rather than following the 'we know best' approach of some places.

I'd happily trust John with any of my suspension requirements.

Properly set up suspension is the biggest single improvement you can make to any motorcycle. Fact.

I noticed very quickly that not worrying about what the bouncy bits were doing left me more time to think about the other stuff. Suspension aside, everything else felt smoother and easier too.
