Ok chaps, i need new tyres, any recommendations.
I've had rennesports on before and love the grip and confidence they give but finding them is hard, i want grip but don't want to be going through 2 sets a year so approx 5k mile out of a rear.
Am i asking to much or is there a tyre that can give me this, oh and around £200 for a pair
Thanks

I have 2 sets on the go at present.
- Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa
Pirelli Angel ST
I have been very impressed with both but for longer life and year-round capability, the Angels are probably the best bet
Might also be worth looking at the Rosso II - but I think the Angels will wear better
I do like Pirelli - I think they suit the bike well. What could be more appropriate, an Italian bike with tyres having an Italian sounding name ?
(even if they are German made)

Must admit i like the super corsa's FWR have them at £229 a pair the same price for the rosso corsa's too, and also the michelin pilot power 2ct at £209 a pair.
Guess it's just down to what's in stock

I used BT021's on my ZRX,I used to get 8000-8500 miles on a rear.
But I just put angel st on the back of the falco (still scrubbing in) so not sure how I feel about them yet

Conti road attack 2s or road smarts
I am currently using some maxxis and they have surprised me - good tyres

Gentlemen, thank you for all your input.
I have to say i was tempted with the maxxis but haven't read any reports on them.

I picked up a set dirt cheap when I badly needed some tyres - I was planning on ditching them for conti's but I see no need too

I was considering the Maxxis myself but the Angels were not much more (with Pirelli spring Cashback - which hasn't yet started this year .... but I expect it will ....)
I think it worked out that I paid £164 + fitting once I'd got the £25 cashback

I checked the tyres last night and they are only just starting to square off, they are MEZ4's i got for free.
So maybe i'll wait until the pirelli offer comes on-line

Count yourselves lucky re: tyre prices... I currently have BT023's and love them and will be getting a new set of boots in the next month.
Over here in NZ a full set fitted etc. (take the wheels myself) doesn't get you much change after $600... so around 300 quid :(
Still... the roads make up for it!

Hey Rick, tyres are expensive in Oz too but my brother gets them cheaper by buying in the US, eBay I think, and getting them shipped out. Might work in NZ too
I also run BT023's on the Blade. They're great.
