Just a thought, but has any body done this is it possible?

It's been done on a few Milles so it is possible.

Probably the biggest issue is the speedo pickup. The Futura pickup is from the rear wheel bearing with many more pulses per revolution than the Falco.
TBH the easiest solution is to scrap the instrument cluster and fit an aftermarket one ... but it all adds to the cost.

I did consider this years ago but:

• Didn't fancy the hassle
  I do like the look of the Mille Swingarm
  The Futura solution adds weight in an unsprung/semi-sprung area
  I didn't really like the look of the Futura wheel
  You have very little choice of wheels (not sure if any others than standard) - no easy route to lightweight items.

Only the Futura wheel will fit.

Other thing to be aware of - the rear wheel hub/bearing and associated gubbins.

The Futura rear wheel bearing is an expensive, complex thing - double race ball bearing. They're a right ba***rd to re-grease, so often get neglected, causing them to seize, and then 'snatch'on the stub axle, so it won't easily slide out of the bearing inner race; because of the design of the hub/bearing assembly, the bearing is not infrequently destroyed in attempting to get the axle out.

The speedometer is 'fed' from a sensor which 'reads' from a series of magnets on the side of one of the bearings ; AFAIK, this is not compatible with the Falco clocks, so you'd need to sort out an alternative means of 'driving' your speedo.

The bearing costs around £400.00 - if you can find one.
