Petrol cap

Opened my petrol cap at the filling station and a load of water poured in that was sitting there ?//

Is there ment to be a drain ?

there is a drain hole, but the ally nipple at the bottom of the tank is normally the culprit and gets blocked, you're not the 1st.

I took mine off and opened it up a bit with some small drills untill I was happy that it wouldn;t block again, I can;t remember how big I went 5 or 8 mm, but if you do it make your own call.

Never blocked since though.

clean out the crap from the drain - the alloy nipple as cuz so eloquently called it - the smokers pipe cleaner is a good weapon of choice :)

I had a caponord that used to do that all the time.
open it up and all the water would slop in the petrol.

I was quite impressed though, the bike never seemed to care.

So it was a drain hole - inscrutable!
