Dyno run

#1 Post by blinkey501 » Sat Jan 14, 2012 5:04 pm

I took the mercury grey to swinton mototcycles today for a dyno in preperation for the mods to the bike i have planned.
Thanks to ashley very helpfull and friendly
The falco had the origional cans fitted and air box... 108.61 Bhp was established and 69.54 of tourque in standard form :smt003
I came back and after thawing out fitted the 54mm throttle bodies and the renegade air box.
The bike started straight away and apart from altering the tick over screw every thing is fine...

I decided to take the bike for a quick spin and wow what a difference.
The bike pulled like a train and the induction noise was awsome.
The mods will continue but has the bits become available :smt003
Tolerance will be our undoing.

when you going to paint it black?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Why spend money on performance and then cripple it by painting it the slow colour? :smt017

Pete, you know very well that black is the undercoat. Aprilia let it show through in certain areas on the Olympic Bronze, Flamingo Red and Oasis Green bikes.

Should be stable enough on the stock wheels. Change the gearing to 15/42, makes it even more fun :smt003

:smt003 Thanks andy i like a joke

I am not sure if i should point this out but the 54s were not fitted when i was clocked.... Bike was completely standard, But insurance company has been notified of changes since 54s have been fitted
I am not after sympathy has it was my fault for not paying attention and it was a 30 limit
Having saying that thankyou everybody for not judging me but i am always willing to put my hand up and admit when i am wrong and in a strange way i am not angry at all with what i have recieved in punishment :smt017
The camera signs on the way to the dyno run were there warning, I just think the sound of a V twin having its balls being rung on the dyno made me a bit giddy for a moment :smt112
