Hello Folks
i am new to this forum and new to Aprilia's
I bought a 2000 Falco Last weekend after years of Jap 4's
Well what a difference the Aprilia is completly diffierent in a very good way, for the first few miles i thought i had made a big mistake then i got used to it and i am very happy it is amazing. I had a bit of trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground though.
One thing is obvious the mirrors were an after thought all I can see through them are my elbows.
Already started a shopping list i want a hugger and a belly pan and also a top fairing that matches the rest of the bike my bike is black and the top fairing is silver it looks ok but i would prefer it to match.
I have been having a goos lokk around this forum over the last few days and i have noticed there is plenty of good advice so no silly question from me yet (but give it time one thing i am good at is silly questions)
looking forward to some warmer weather now

Welcome, and there are no silly questions really. Only serious question is how big your overdraft is

Hello and welcome, you will spend, long stalk mirrors off an aprilia 125 etc will fit, I made that change and they are excellent.
You will be advised to change your shock by all on here if you have the original Sachs.
You need to post some pics to let us all see.

Yes - welcome indeed.
As has been mentioned the RS125 long stalk mirrors do solve to looking behind problem.
Be aware though that not all RS125 mirrors are of the long stalk variety ....

Welcome.. i'm new too. Owned my Falco for all of one week. Previously had japanese bikes. loving the Falco so far, though it doesn't have the manic sense of urgency that many Kawasaki's have, it's fast and smooth.

Thanks for the welcome
The spending has begun ordered a pair of long stalk morrors this morning, going to look into improving the side stand later.
Todays job is removing the remains of one of the bobbins from the swing arm.
Also going to do a bit of research on replacing the rear shocker.

Welcome,
Do the side stand sooner than later, I was aware of the need and put it on the later list then one day I was standing beside the bike and it just slowly lay on it's side as the stand bent. In shock I grabbed the screen and consequently had to order a new skidmarx screen from a bike shop in London somewhere, was cheaper than on the skidmarx site.

I bought a CBR1000RR5 side stand. it bolts straight on with no modding. It stick out much further than the original stand, but does still leave the bike quite upright so you need to be careful where you place it.

I have just ordered a wilbers shock from a company called Revs Suspension, this was recomended by a few people on here, I will let you know what its like when I get it, next week hopefully.
One thing about the mirrors, use your baseplates with the new mirrors, they give better clearance they are ticker than the new ones, just use the mirrors if you see what I mean.
