Are you sitting comfortably?

Frankly no.

Country lanes don't help, but when riding I'm constantly squashing my nuts against the tank. I try and sit further back, but just slide forward. I'm wearing bike jeans instead of leather at the moment, so I have not grip on the tank. I had a fireblade several years ago and don't remember this problem.

I haven't dropped the forks (although I was thinking about it), but my bike is definately behaving like a slide :smt017 . I know it's good to get weight over the front, but constantly squashed over the tank means a lot of weight pushing down onto the bars which aint good for steering. I have increased the rear preload a little so it's just a couple of mm off max (but then I do weigh a little over 16 stone :smt103)

I'm just over 6ft, but I think I was spoilt byt the comfort of the Triumph Tiger I had previously.

sounds like the front is too low, back to high?

also, silly thought, but underwear choice may not help.... support may be the key :)

finally, adjust the brake and gear lever - they may be too low so your body is compensating to adjust the angle you ride at?

Grip with your knees, hold the tank tightly (ish) between your thighs and you shouldn't have the problem

Good point about the brake and gear lever, I'll check into it.

The front has not been altered, so there's nowt I can do there. Don't want to wind off the rear preload as I think I need it :smt002

Thought that might be the case, but not that easy in motorbike jeans (Draggin)

How about getting some "stomp grips"? might help you get knee traction in your jeans

You're just trying to brag about the size of your balls aren't you!

Actually, this issue came up on the AF1 forum a while back and those from 'down under' were recommending that people fit sheepskin covers :smt119

Perhaps our Welsh members could endorse this as a means of relief for the nether regions ......

SORRY (cheap stereotypical jibe - I know)

Perhaps some of that grippy seat cover stuff ??

Personally I don't have this problem even when wearing Draggin Jeans :smt017

Slight feeling of inadequacy starting to creep in...... :smt011

Oh - you don't mention what shock you have but with the rear shock exchange merrygoround that is this site perhaps your's is height adjustable and set high ?

Stick or sew some thing leather, or sticky to the crotch of your jeans...

When I wear an oversuit I have to grip with the knees 'n brace the arms a bit more. With Leathers it works fine and I have the front dropped and the tail raised about a far as is decent.
