Just a wild thought - Clear Tail Light Lenses etc

While following behind an R6 at the week end, I really quite liked the combined tail/stop/indicators....
now humour me
I have not taken the tail light assembly off BUT...
I reckon there should be room in there for a flasher - on each side... and with a clear lens, and amber/red bulbs as appropriate, I reckon that would look fairly cool....
Thoughts? is it possible?

You need to talk to Falcopops .... he's a patent pending on that one.
Maybe with 2 of you working at it, it might see the light of day.
Your biggest problem may be the clear lens - unless you've already got one or until Gio bakes his first batch.

i think that we have to MAKE Gio fabricate those clear lenses. And now, Alandisuk, we've got a candidate for voluntair on making a base for bulbs

I have a feeling this may hit a problem with the MOT, I could be wrong.
Im sure the yanks have done this on the other site but Brits cant take advantage

That was the route I was heading down for a while and still thinkit's doable, but I've changes tack and (kids permitting) I'm going to make up some LED jobbies with the indies in them.
I've got a clear lens (gotta get a dig in at D-Rider wherever poss) and chromed stop and tail bulbs so they don't show. I've got some chrome side repeater bulbs and holders that I was gonna fit into the light assy with a divider.
It would mean hacking the backof the light assy a bit to fit the indies in (well drilling a couple of holes).
Another solution I thought of was to use a divider and some stick on led indicators in there, less hacking involved.
Let me know what your thoughts are once you've had a look in there and don't buy anything before asking I've got various bits and pieces you are welcome to.

currently I am thinking a little more laterally
Stick on indicators/leds are easy to find now - so am investigating running a set of stick ons around the tail light - to make a < and > shape around the tail light cluster
not sure on how feasible yet but may be a simple solution that requires little drilling etc but will have the desired look
watch this space :)

Thats going to be this winter coming, as I've far more important things to do, like ride the bike.
I'm hoping that they won't cost much each either (I loathe being charged £30 for something that costs £1 to make)

We also dont have MOT in the Netherlands....
I use LED bulbs
http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/1156-x30.htm
Also an electronic thing that lets my tail and brakelight blink likewise US cars.Offcourse all that behind a smoked lens
It is not allowed but the coppers are far too busy with speeding tickets to look at my blinkers...but just to be sure I think that I want a ring of amber leds arround the LED bulbs, or at least an amber led so I can say I DO have a blinker......

Both clear and smoked lenses were made by Mikeo - both are discontinued.

Why did Mikeo stop?

From what I remember, he sold his business and all his moulding equipment - and the moulds reached the end of their useful life.
