Falco vs. early Mille compatibility/similarity

When I was younger and more foolish, I fell for the charms of a Suzuki TL1000S. And bought one. One of the very first batch in the country, in fact. In British Racing Green. It was a handsome machine.
The bike as standard had a stonking motor, indifferent brakes, poor steering and a complete abortion of a rear shock. It went like shit off a greasy stick but tank-slapped in places that no bike I've owned before or since did. It was, shall we say interesting. Challenging even. But it still brings a smile to my fizzog thinking about it nearly 15 years later.
Because of all the public interest, Suzuki felt obliged to issue a recall and slapped a pig-ugly steering damper on it that totally ruined the low-speed steering and did little for the bikes wayward tendencies. Most owners (including me) took it off and lived with the 'liveliness'.
Around that time Hyperpro (whose products I've always favoured) brought out a 'reactive' steering damper. Basically it didn't kill the slow-speed steering response in the way the OE Suzuki one did, but in the event of a tankslapper, kicked in quickly (in much the same way an inertia-reel safety belt does) to stop Bad Things Happening.
I bought one, and was very pleased with the way it worked. When I eventually sold the TL (I was out of work for 15 months, and needed to eat) I retained the Hyperpro damper and put the OE Suzuki steering damper back on. Like you do...
I quite fancy fitting the Hyperpro steering damper to the Falco (not that it really needs it, but...), but I'll be buggered if I can find a Falco bracket fitment. There are all manner of RSV Mille fitments, but no Falco ones.
So - getting to the point after an eternity - which of the RSV fitments stands the best chance of working with the Falco? Hyperpro list the following:
RSV 1000 (99-00)
RSV 1000 (01-03)
RSV 1000 R (00-03)
I'm guessing the first option - RSV 1000 (99-00) - stands the best chance of fitting the Falco.
What say the team?
