Fork Reconditioning

I am going to get the forks serviced this winter (it was on my to-do list for last winter). Both forks are chipped At the thick part (lower end) of the sleeve. I have a strip of black insulating tape around the legs to hide the chips, but I know they are there. it's just cosmetic and the forks are otherwise fine.

Does anyone know if such chips can be repaired and who might be able to do it (and ideally overhaul the forks at the same time)? I'm in North Buckinghamshire so somewhere not too far would be brilliant.

I know ABE do a lot of work on forks, but don't know if they could fill in chips. Not very local either in London.

As a plan B, I could look for a set of forks in good nick and if necessary, get them reconditioned internally.

Anyone got a decent pair of forks for sale after an upgrade?

If that place in Luton is the one im thinking of, they are really good, long time since i have used them but they did a great job on some NC30 fork tubes and also some FZR400 tubes for me, and reasonable prices too.
