Changed my handlebars to tuono ones and the throttle cables to get the correct length finished the job but now not turning over when the button is pushed. Checked the fuses at the front right, checked the ones under the seat all ok. Checked battery 12.35 volts any ideas ????
Cheers Keith

One click or click, click, click ........ click ?
Is that the battery voltage while under load (which is helpful info) or while it's resting (which is rather meaningless)?
The answers to these questions will suggest different problems.

OK that's probably not the battery then.
The relay is being energised (hence the click) but the starter motor is not turning. As the battery voltage is holding up you probably have a break (or high resistance) in the power circuit to the starter motor.
Check all connections are clean and tight (including the earth from the starter.
However, my guess is that the starter relay contacts have oxide on them and will not allow a decent current to flow.
The way to check this requires a bit of bravery. Making sure you are in neutral and holding a bid screwdriver with some nicely insulated gloves, carefully use the screwdriver to short between the power terminals of the starter relay. There will be sparks - be prepared for them. I expect this will cause the starter to turn.
If so, you need a new starter relay.
The new Aprilia ones are much better (according to Griff) but there is a Yamaha part that is cheaper as is the Scooter Assassins part (a quick search on here for those will tell you what you're looking for.

Tilt switch springs to mind

Tip over sensor?
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Lift tank, move sensor and see if it starts
I think it is the most likely cause tbh - you dislodged it while fettling

..... so is the starter motor cranking the engine then?
If so, it could be the fall/tip-over sensor - if not, then with the relay being energised you are back to the things I suggested.

Oops sorry wrong topic lol

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
