Turn key and trys to start

Turn key and it started first time,not been ran for over a year,but did not press start button and kill switch does not work and starter motor spins all the time,any ideas
relay?

Starter ye got a short somewhere. I'm guessing not the solenoid as it'll be spinning even when the ignition is off. Time to bust open the switch gear and take a look side.

Some of Blinkey's mice got in there and shorted out your starter.

the bikes been in total bits for the frame to be welded could be a long job

Shouldn't be too bad to track down. The starter is only going to spin up if the heavy duty wires have been connected, either directly or through the solenoid, via the start button, so there's not too many wires to check.
I'd be starting at the button and working from there to the solenoid, the button has been known to be an issue and the wiring round the headstock has to cope with a lot of movement.
Have a look at the AF1 site for a wiring diagram if you haven't already got one.

if it helps I had the same problem a while back, it was the starter button had jamed in - give it a wiggle

Thanks had them both apart and washed in wd40
