What year ohlins is it?
The early ones used the same linkages as the Falco.

Do you mean a 2002 Mille R? (Factory was 53 plate onward). Thought I'd mention it in case anyone thinks they have some but get mistaken.
I've got some but they're attached to the Ohlins on my Mille R I'm afraid!

Good point, well made

I had ago at fitting mille ohlins for geoff yesterday, he has same mille shock has mine but linkages and dog bone were wrong.

He definatly needs the linkages he is asking for

Yup that was somewhere between the standard shock causing my nuts to hit the tank so hard they are still somehwere by my throat and then finding out that the waterproof spray on my boots and gloves lost out to the water I encountered on Saddleworth moor in the form of torrential rain.
Stilkl it was worth it for a great day out

and at least my bike seems waterproof

Ohlins shock, has the older dogbones on from 98-00, should this fit the Falco it's currently on an RSV

Yes.
Basically the "
old shape" Mille and Tuonos have essentially the same geometry as the Falco and so you take the shock and linkage combo that worked on the Mille/Tuono and it's OK on the Falco.

Thanks would measuring them help to make sure? I can't keep buying shocks lol
I ideally want to use the shock I have with the linkages from this one does that sound ok?

I thought you said you had a shock from an 02 model?
If so, then NO (unless you re-spring it and re-valve it)
as I said .....

So unless I've completely misunderstood what you are asking, you shouldn't be mixing early (same as Falco) linkages with an 02 shock

ok so I think I have it now because I am slow

I cant use the 02 one I already have because it is different size whatever so I could get this one and it should firt or get some later linkages for the one I already have
thanks BTW

I'm not sure that the size is any different (maybe it is maybe it isn't). The thing that matters is that the leverage ratio of the linkage is matched to the spring and damping rates of the shock. That's why they need to be kept together as a set.
